Golf Course Construction & Agronomy
Jeff Markow brings nearly five decades of experience in golf course construction, agronomy, and capital project management. He earned a B.S. in Biology from the University of Minnesota and completed Penn State University's Turfgrass Management Program. Early in his career, Jeff oversaw capital improvements at The Vintage Club and served as Construction Superintendent for the Jack Nicklaus Private Course at PGA West.
Jeff subsequently spent 33 years as Golf Course Superintendent at Cypress Point Club, overseeing extensive restoration and infrastructure improvements, including historic bunker restoration, shoreline protection, drainage, and irrigation projects. He also led course preparations for the 2025 Walker Cup and was recognized as the 2025 Superintendent of the Year by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of Northern California.
A Certified Golf Course Superintendent and California-licensed Pest Control Adviser, Jeff has also served on the Musser Foundation's Board of Directors for over 30 years. At GHMG, he applies his construction and agronomic expertise to help clubs successfully navigate renovations, infrastructure improvements, and long-term capital investments.
